Welcome!

Well, hello there. I’m so glad you dropped by.

Can I ask you a personal question? Don’t worry, you don’t need to leave your answer in the comments.

How’s your soul today?

That real you in the deepest part of your being — how’s it doing?

Ours is a fast-paced culture. In our busyness, it’s easy to rush past the need to take care of our souls. Yet all through the Bible, God mentions the concept of peace — a deep-seated soul rest, a sense of wholeness and well-being.

This peace He talks about comes from being reconciled to God. Through faith in Jesus, our sin has been dealt with. We’re no longer His enemies but His friends.

This restored relationship is the foundation of our soul’s peace, the reason we can enjoy soul rest, no matter how unsettled life may become.

Charles Spurgeon, a 19th century preacher, put it this way,

As for us, our soul recognizing [Jesus’] blood and perceiving the love of God toward us, feels now no war with God (emphasis mine).

Blue Letter Bible

Soul rest really is possible, because Jesus made peace with God for us.

Nothing we do can add to, or take away from, His accomplishment. We cannot make God love or accept us more than He already does.

We don’t have to strive to earn His blessing or check all the right boxes on any spiritual to do list. Ours is the privilege of knowing and being known by the God who welcomes us close to His heart.

That’s what this blog is all about — enjoying our peace with God and walking through everyday life with Him.

It’s about learning to settle our souls in quiet trust, letting Him heal our broken places, and watching Him spread wholeness throughout our lives, our homes, and our relationships.

I hope you’ll pull up a chair and join the conversation.
